Key Post-Wise Requirements
- Research Scientist: Relevant M.E./M.Tech or M.Sc./M.Sc Tech qualification with the prescribed undergraduate background.
- Project Associate-I: B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent.
- Project Associate-II: Relevant B.E./B.Tech or M.Sc qualification plus two years of R&D experience.
- Project Scientist-B: Relevant postgraduate or engineering qualification in geology, remote sensing, geoinformatics, computer science, environmental or agriculture-related disciplines.
- Project Scientist-I: M.E./M.Tech in Computer Science or IT with the corresponding B.E./B.Tech background.
- JRF: Relevant Master's Degree and a valid NET, GATE or other notified national-level examination score in the advertised discipline.
Only passed-out candidates may apply. Candidates awaiting final results are not eligible. B.Tech or M.Tech completed through Open and Distance Learning is not accepted. Rounding of marks or CGPA is not allowed.

Each application carries a fee of Rs 250, payable online through the Bharatkosh gateway. Candidates applying for more than one post code must submit separate applications and pay the fee separately.

Tenure of NRSC Temporary Research Posts
Appointments are initially for one year, subject to project validity, and may be extended after periodic performance review or remain co-terminus with the project. JRF and Research Scientist engagement may continue up to a maximum of five years. These posts do not create any right to regular appointment in NRSC, ISRO or the Department of Space.
