Introduction to IBPS RRB CRP-XV Recruitment 2026

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has invited online applications under the Common Recruitment Process for Regional Rural Banks - CRP RRBs-XV for recruitment of Group "A" Officers Scale-I, II & III and Group "B" Office Assistants (Multipurpose).

Based on the vacancies reported in Annexure I of the notification, the recruitment currently covers 13,706 vacancies, including Office Assistant, Officer Scale-I, Officer Scale-II Generalist/Specialist and Officer Scale-III posts. The online registration window is open from 1 September 2026 to 21 September 2026.

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) Overview

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducts the Common Recruitment Process on behalf of participating Regional Rural Banks. Under CRP RRBs-XV, IBPS is responsible for conducting the applicable Preliminary, Main and Single online examinations, declaring results and coordinating further stages of the recruitment process.

Interviews for Officer Scale-I, II and III are coordinated by the Nodal Regional Rural Banks with assistance from NABARD and IBPS. Office Assistant recruitment does not include an interview.

Officer Scale-II Vacancy Breakup

Among the larger Office Assistant requirements, Uttar Pradesh Gramin Bank reports 1,200 vacancies, Andhra Pradesh Grameena Bank 900 and Telangana Grameena Bank 750. For Officer Scale-I, Gujarat Gramin Bank reports 600, Uttar Pradesh Gramin Bank 425 and Andhra Pradesh Grameena Bank 400 vacancies.

Educational Qualification & Experience

All prescribed educational qualifications must be from a recognised University/Institution/Board, and the qualifying result must have been declared on or before 21 September 2026.

IBPS RRB Recruitment 2026 Application Fee

The correction/edit window will remain available for 2 days after closure of registration. The notification prescribes a separate Rs 200 fee inclusive of GST for modifying/correcting an application through the edit window.

Negative marking: One-fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to a question will be deducted for each incorrect answer. No penalty applies to unanswered questions.

Candidates must also satisfy the prescribed sectional and overall cut-offs. Preliminary examination marks are qualifying in nature for Office Assistant and Officer Scale-I and are not used for final merit.

IBPS RRB Recruitment 2026 Selection Process

For Office Assistant, marks obtained in the Main Examination alone are considered for final merit.

For Officer Scale-I, Main Examination marks are used for shortlisting for interview and final merit. For Officer Scale-II and III, marks in the Single Examination are considered.

The Officer interview carries 100 marks. Minimum qualifying marks are not less than 40%, with 35% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates. The relative weightage of the online Main/Single Examination and Interview is 80:20.

IBPS RRB Recruitment 2026 Salary and Pay Scale

The CRP RRBs-XV notification does not specify a consolidated salary or pay-scale table for Office Assistant or Officer Scale-I, II and III posts. Appointment, service conditions and remuneration are governed by the respective Regional Rural Bank and applicable rules.

Candidates should therefore avoid relying on unofficial salary figures when checking this recruitment and refer to the allotted RRB's appointment terms for the final salary, allowances and service conditions.

IBPS RRB Recruitment 2026 Local Language Requirement

Proficiency in the prescribed local language is an essential qualification for Office Assistant and Officer Scale-I. A candidate who has studied the prescribed State language in Standard VIII or above in a Government-recognised Board/School, or possesses the required certificate, will be treated as proficient.

If a selected candidate does not meet the local-language requirement at the time of selection, the notification allows a period of six months from joining to acquire proficiency. The RRB may extend this period within the applicable rules, but not beyond the probation period.

3. Choose the application link for either Office Assistants (Multipurpose) or Officers Scale-I/II/III.
4. Click "CLICK HERE FOR NEW REGISTRATION" and complete the basic registration.
5. Save the provisional registration number and password sent by email/SMS.
6. Enter personal, educational, category, State/UT and other required details carefully.
7. Upload the photograph, signature, left thumb impression, handwritten declaration, Class 10 certificate and applicable supporting documents.
8. Capture and upload the live photograph through webcam or mobile phone as instructed.

A candidate may apply for Office Assistant and one Officer post. However, only one post can be selected within the Officer cadre - Scale-I, Scale-II or Scale-III. Separate applications and fees are required for Office Assistant and Officer applications.

The examination uses sectional time limits and carries a penalty for incorrect answers, so accuracy and time management should be prioritised over random attempts. Office Assistant and Scale-I candidates should first build speed in Reasoning and Numerical Ability/Quantitative Aptitude because these two subjects determine qualification for the Main Examination.

For the Main and Single examinations, General/Financial Awareness becomes an important scoring section. Aspirants can strengthen this area with daily current affairs, revise core facts through Static GK and test recall with the daily current affairs quiz.
