CPCL Junior Engineering Assistant Recruitment 2026 Preparation Focus

The CBT gives 70 of the 120 marks to Discipline Knowledge, making technical preparation the largest component of the examination. Candidates should therefore devote substantial preparation time to the core concepts of their respective Diploma/B.Sc. discipline while maintaining regular practice in Verbal Ability, Numerical Ability, Reasoning and General Knowledge.

Because each incorrect answer carries a 0.25-mark penalty, accuracy matters. Candidates should avoid uncontrolled guessing and instead practise timed objective questions to improve both speed and precision.

For the General Knowledge portion, candidates can supplement their preparation with daily current affairs, Static GK and the daily current affairs quiz.
