  • Candidates must satisfy the post-specific age, educational qualification, certification and work-experience requirements as on 1 August 2026.
  • Most technology posts require B.E./B.Tech in a relevant Computer Science/IT/Electronics discipline, MCA or M.Sc. in Computer Science/IT, along with the experience and certifications prescribed for that particular role.

Bank of India SO Recruitment 2026 Selection Process

Selection will be made through an Online Examination and/or Personal Interview, depending on the number of applicants, eligible candidates and the Bank's decision for the relevant post.

The Bank has specifically reserved the right to conduct the selection process through Personal Interview only without holding an online examination where considered appropriate.

The online examination has a composite duration of 100 minutes. English Language is qualifying in nature and its marks are not added to the final merit score.

The minimum qualifying requirement prescribed for the online tests is 35% for General/EWS candidates and 30% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates.

Negative Marking: For each incorrect answer, one-fourth of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted. No penalty applies to questions left unanswered.


Bank of India SO Recruitment 2026 Interview and Final Merit

Candidates shortlisted for interview will be assessed out of 100 marks. The minimum interview qualifying marks are 50% for General/EWS candidates and 45% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates.

Where both the online examination and interview are conducted, the final selection uses a 60:40 weightage between the online examination and interview respectively. Candidates are generally called for interview in an approximately 1:3 ratio to the number of vacancies.

If the online examination is not conducted, selection will be based on the Personal Interview according to the method prescribed in the notification.
