IOCL Apprentice Eligibility Criteria 2026

Technician Apprentice Qualification

Candidates applying for Technician Apprentice discipline codes 101 to 106 must possess a 3-year regular full-time Diploma in the respective engineering discipline from a recognised institute/university.

The eligible engineering disciplines are Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Civil, Electrical & Electronics and Electronics Engineering.

Trade Apprentice ITI Qualification

For discipline codes 107 to 111, candidates must have passed Matriculation along with a regular full-time 2-year ITI course in the respective trade recognised by NCVT/SCVT.

The eligible trades are Fitter, Electrician, Electronics Mechanic, Instrument Mechanic and Machinist.

Graduate Apprentice Qualification

For Discipline Code 112, candidates must possess a regular full-time Graduate degree in any discipline, such as BA, B.Com, B.Sc or BBA, from a recognised institute/university.

Data Entry Operator - Fresher

For Discipline Code 113, candidates must have passed Class 12th but must be below graduate level. The prescribed minimum is 50% aggregate for General/EWS/OBC-NCL and 45% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates against reserved positions.

Data Entry Operator - Skill Certificate Holder

For Discipline Code 114, candidates must have passed Class 12th but be below graduate level and possess a Skill Certificate in Domestic Data Entry Operator for training of less than one year, issued by an awarding body recognised under NSQF or another authority recognised by the Central Government.

IOCL Apprentice Year of Passing Criteria 2026

Lateral-entry Diploma holders can also be considered eligible, subject to meeting the prescribed percentage of marks calculated on the aggregate of all semesters in the Diploma course.

Who Is Not Eligible for IOCL Apprentice Recruitment 2026?
