Who Can Apply

  • Only male candidates are eligible for the posts notified in this recruitment.
  • The basic educational qualification is Matriculation or equivalent from a recognised board.
  • Applicants must be 18 to 25 years of age, subject to applicable relaxation.

Post-wise Educational Qualification

Fireman

  • Matriculation or equivalent from a recognised board.
  • Must be conversant with the use and maintenance of different types of fire extinguishers, hose fittings, fire appliances and equipment, fire engines, trailers, pumps and foam branches.
  • Must be familiar with the use and maintenance of first-aid firefighting appliances and Trailer Fire Pump.
  • Must know elementary firefighting principles and methods used for different types of fires.
  • Must be conversant with foot and appliance Fire Service Drills and be capable of performing assigned duties.

Leading Fireman

  • Matriculation or equivalent from a recognised board.
  • Must be conversant with the use and maintenance of extinguishers, hose fittings, fire appliances and equipment, fire engines, trailers, pumps and foam branches.
  • Must be capable of training and guiding staff, controlling the working of B crane and taking independent charge of a shift.

Fire Engine Driver

  • Matriculation or equivalent from a recognised board.

  • Certification from a reputed institution after attending a fireman course is desirable/preferable as stated in the notification.

General Intelligence & Reasoning

General Awareness

This section will be of Matriculation standard and test awareness of the candidate's environment and its application to society. Topics include current events, everyday scientific observations and questions relating particularly to India and neighbouring countries, including Sports, History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Polity, Indian Constitution and Scientific Research.

General English

The General English section will test Matriculation-level understanding of English, including vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms, correct usage and basic writing ability.

Numerical Aptitude
