Candidates should therefore devote approximately half of their Paper-II preparation to diploma-level Survey Engineering while maintaining accuracy in Mathematics and English. Since Paper-II carries a negative marking of 0.25 mark per wrong answer, candidates should combine speed with careful question selection.

Paper-I should not be ignored even though it is qualifying, because a candidate must secure at least 30% marks in it before Paper-II marks can be considered.
