Introduction to ITPO Recruitment 2026
India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO), a Government of India Enterprise under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, has released recruitment notification F.No.4-ITPO(3)/E-I/2026 for 46 vacancies.
The recruitment includes Senior Assistant (Civil), Senior Assistant (Electrical), Senior Assistant (Architecture), Assistant (Accounts), Junior Stenographer and Junior Assistant (General Cadre) posts.
The online application process started on 17 October 2026 and will remain open until 13 November 2026.
A distinctive feature of this recruitment is that ITPO will use candidates' performance in previously conducted SSC JE 2024, SSC CGL 2024, SSC Stenographer Grade C & D Examination 2024 or GATE 2024/2025/2026, depending on the post, for preparation of merit lists.
No Separate ITPO Written Examination

Experience
For Diploma holders only, 1 year experience is required in construction and maintenance of permanent structures in Civil Engineering in Government, Public Sector or a reputed private-sector organisation, preferably in exhibition-related work.

Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree with at least Second Division.

The notification also specifies the equivalent key-depression standard of approximately 10500 KDPH in English or 9000 KDPH in Hindi, where applicable.

ITPO Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
ITPO will prepare the merit list using marks/rank secured in the prescribed external examination and after checking the candidate's eligibility and experience.
For Senior Assistant Civil & Electrical
Merit will be based on the final marks and rank secured in SSC Junior Engineer Examination 2024, subject to fulfilment of qualification and experience requirements.
For Assistant Accounts & Junior Assistant
Merit will be based on marks/rank secured in SSC Combined Graduate Level Examination 2024.
For Junior Stenographer
Merit will be based on marks/rank secured in SSC Stenographer Grade C & D Examination 2024.
For Senior Assistant Architecture
Merit will be prepared using marks / qualifying cut-off performance in GATE 2024, 2025 or 2026 Architecture & Planning (AR), subject to eligibility and experience conditions.
Provisionally shortlisted candidates will be called for Document Verification. Selection remains subject to verification of eligibility, character, antecedents and prescribed medical standards.
Selection Clarification
The notification does not prescribe a fresh ITPO written examination. Candidates' performance in SSC JE, SSC CGL, SSC Stenographer or GATE, depending on the post, forms the basis of merit.

No separate ITPO examination pattern is prescribed in this recruitment notification.
Candidates must instead possess the required score/marks/rank in the relevant SSC examination or GATE examination specified for their chosen post.
