The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially published Advertisement No. 08/2026 for recruitment to 48 vacancies in multiple ministries including the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Ministry of Home Affairs, and Ministry of Law & Justice.

Candidates possessing qualifications such as Master's Degree, MBBS, LLB, DM, DNB, M.Ch, MD, MS, Pharmacy, Forensic Science, Public Health Entomology, and other prescribed qualifications can apply online through the UPSC Online Recruitment Application (ORA) portal. Selection will be based on Recruitment Test (where applicable) followed by Interview or Interview only, depending on the post.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must satisfy the educational qualification and experience prescribed for the respective post.

Assistant Soil Chemist

• Master's Degree in Agriculture/Agricultural Chemistry with specialization in Soil Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry or Soil Science.
• Three years' experience in Soil & Water Analysis.

Prosecutor (SFIO)

• Graduate with LLB or Integrated 5-Year Law Degree.
• 1-2 years' experience in litigation or legal matters.

Specialist Grade III Assistant Professor

• MBBS with relevant PG Degree/Diploma/DM/DNB/M.Ch/MS/MD in the concerned speciality.
• Three years' teaching experience after obtaining the first postgraduate degree.

Deputy Assistant Director (Entomology)

• Master's Degree in Zoology (Entomology) or Public Health Entomology.
• Three years' experience.

Entomologist

• Master's Degree in Zoology with Entomology/Public Health Entomology.
• Three years' relevant experience.

Junior Scientific Officer (Toxicology)

• Master's Degree in Chemistry/Biochemistry/Pharmacology/Pharmacy/Forensic Science or equivalent.
• Three years' experience in Toxicology.

Superintendent (Legal)

• Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB).
• Two years' experience in legal affairs, judicial service or advocacy.

Age Limit

The upper age limit varies according to the post and reservation category.

Age relaxation is applicable as per Government of India and UPSC rules.

Salary

Selected candidates will receive salary according to the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC).

Selection Process

The UPSC selection process consists of the following stages:
