RCFL Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria

The qualification must correspond exactly to the discipline or area of training selected in the application. Allied branches of Diploma Engineering are not acceptable for the Technician Apprentice disciplines.

Candidates pursuing or having obtained the required educational qualification through Distance Learning, Part-Time or Correspondence Mode are not eligible for apprenticeship training under this recruitment.

The candidate should possess the passing certificate or final-year mark sheet for the required qualification. Where the minimum percentage is considered, it should be based on the final year or aggregate of the last two semesters as prescribed by RCF.

Applicants for Attendant Operator (Chemical Plant) and Laboratory Assistant (Chemical Plant) must have B.Sc. with Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics with Chemistry as the major subject. For Instrument Mechanic (Chemical Plant), Physics must be the major subject.

Candidates having Biology in graduation with only Zoology or only Botany may apply for Graduate Apprentice positions such as Secretarial Assistant or Recruitment Executive (HR), subject to meeting the remaining conditions.

RCFL Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Age Limit

The candidate should be at least 18 years of age as on 1 September 2026. The advertised upper age limit is 25 years. Relaxation is available to eligible reserved-category candidates as per the notification.

RCF also states that a relaxation of 5% marks in the final selection criteria may be provided to eligible SC/ST and PwBD candidates according to applicable Government guidelines.

RCFL Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Selection Process

There is no written examination prescribed in the notification. The RCFL Apprentice selection process is primarily based on academic merit and document verification.

1. Preparation of Merit List: A merit list will be drawn in order of the percentage criteria prescribed for the relevant educational qualification, subject to applicable reservation.
2. CGPA/CPI Conversion: Candidates whose institutes award CGPA/CPI or grades must produce the applicable university or institute certificate showing the equivalent percentage of marks during document verification.

Important: RCF has no obligation to provide regular employment after completion of apprenticeship training. Apprentices cannot claim regular employment merely on the basis of undergoing apprenticeship with the company.

RCFL Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Training Location and Working Hours

Apprentices will receive training at RCF's manufacturing units located at Trombay, Mumbai or Thal, Raigad District, according to company requirements and approved intake.

Candidates must select either Trombay or Thal in the "Posting At" field while completing the application form. Once selected, this option cannot be changed. The final posting will depend on the approved intake quota of the respective unit.

The place of posting is non-transferable throughout the apprenticeship period. Requests for transfer from one unit to another will not be entertained.
