The Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) has invited online applications from eligible Indian citizens for 255 Category-II Stipendiary Trainee/Technician (ST/TN) vacancies at Kudankulam Nuclear Power Project (KKNPP), Tamil Nadu under Advertisement No. NPCIL/KKNPP/HRM/01/2026.

Candidates selected through this recruitment will undergo a two-year training programme with a monthly stipend. After successful completion of training, they will be appointed as Technician-B in Level-3 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix.

Educational Qualification

Stipendiary Trainee/Technician (Plant Operator)

• HSC (10+2)/ISC with Science Stream.
• Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics compulsory.
• Minimum 50% aggregate marks.

Stipendiary Trainee/Technician (Technician Trades)

Candidates should have:

• SSC (10th Pass)
• Minimum 50% marks in Science and Mathematics
• Two-year ITI Certificate in relevant trade:
  • Electrician
  • Fitter
  • Turner
  • Machinist
  • Welder
  • Electronics Mechanic
  • Instrument Mechanic

Candidates with ITI courses shorter than two years must possess one year of relevant work experience.

English should have been studied at least up to SSC level.

Vacancy Details

Several vacancies are also reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) as per Government norms.

Salary / Stipend

During Training:

• First Year Stipend: ₹20,000 per month
• Second Year Stipend: ₹22,000 per month
• One-time Book Allowance: ₹3,000

After Training:

• Post: Technician-B
• Pay Level: Level-3 (7th CPC)
• Basic Pay: ₹21,700 per month
• DA, HRA and other admissible allowances.
