Since there is no negative marking in Prelims, candidates should aim for maximum sensible attempts while building speed across Hindi, English, Reasoning, Science, History, Geography, Civics and Computer Knowledge.
The Main Examination requires a different strategy because incorrect answers attract 1/3 negative marking. General Studies aspirants should regularly revise Static GK, follow daily current affairs and use a daily current affairs quiz to improve recall and accuracy.
Candidates should also begin physical preparation well before the written result. The Physical Efficiency Test is worth 100 marks and contributes meaningfully to progression through the recruitment process, so 800-metre running, long jump and shot-put practice should not be postponed until after the Main Examination.
