Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL), a Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Railways, has released the KRCL Recruitment 2026 Notification for the engagement of 36 candidates on a fixed-term contract basis. The recruitment includes vacancies for Project Engineer (M&P), Project Engineer (Electrical Maintenance), Technician (Mechanical), Technician (Electrical), Yard Operations Supervisor, and Shunting Operator posts.

Interested and eligible candidates can attend the walk-in interview scheduled on 22 June 2026 and 23 June 2026 at Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.

Educational Qualification

Project Engineer (M&P)

• Full-time Degree/Diploma in:
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Production & Industrial Engineering
  • Automobile Engineering
  • Manufacturing Engineering
  • Mechatronics
  • Material Sciences
  • Metallurgical Engineering
• Minimum 1 year post-qualification experience.

Project Engineer (Electrical Maintenance)

• Full-time Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related streams.
• Minimum 1 year post-qualification experience.

Technician (Mechanical)

• ITI Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics or related trades.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Mechanical Industry.

Technician (Electrical)

• ITI Certificate from recognized institute.
• Minimum 1 year experience in repair and maintenance of electrical systems.

Yard Operations Supervisor

• Graduate in any discipline.
• Minimum 1 year relevant experience.

Shunting Operator

• Minimum 10th Pass.
• Minimum 1 year experience in yard operations, railway siding, port, cement industry or similar operations.

KRCL Selection Process 2026

The selection process includes:

Stage 1: Preliminary Screening

Applications and documents submitted by candidates will be screened.

Stage 2: Group Discussion / Written Test

Conducted only if the number of applicants is large.

Stage 3: Personal Interview

Candidates shortlisted after screening will appear for the interview.

Stage 4: Document Verification

Original certificates and supporting documents will be verified.

Stage 5: Medical Examination

Selected candidates may be required to undergo medical fitness verification before joining.

How to Attend KRCL Walk-In Interview?

1. Visit the official KRCL website.
2. Download the prescribed application format.
3. Fill the application form carefully.
4. Affix a recent passport-size photograph.
5. Attach self-attested copies of required documents.
6. Reach the interview venue between 09:00 AM and 12:00 PM on the scheduled date.
7. Complete registration and document verification.
8. Appear for the interview process.

Contract Details

• Initial appointment will be for 1 year.
• Contract may be extended annually based on performance.
• Maximum contract period can be extended up to 5 years.
• Posting will be at VDPD Workshop, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.

• No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
• Accommodation and food expenses must be borne by the candidate.
