Educational Qualification

The prescribed qualification for Nursing Superintendent is a Certificate as Registered Nurse and Midwife after passing a three-year course in General Nursing and Midwifery from a School of Nursing or another institution recognised by the Indian Nursing Council, OR B.Sc Nursing.

The official notification also recognises candidates who obtained the qualification under applicable concessions prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council.

A candidate must satisfy the nationality/citizenship requirements specified in CEN 05/2026. The recruitment process consists of the following stages:

The Single Stage CBT will contain 100 objective-type questions for 100 marks. The normal examination duration is 90 minutes. Eligible PwBD candidates using a scribe will receive 120 minutes.
