The post-wise qualification and experience requirements are listed below.

• Assistant Engineer - RE (E-0 Grade): Full-time regular Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, Electrical & Electronics or Instrumentation Engineering from a State Technical Board or AICTE/UGC-recognised institute with pass marks. Candidates need at least 10 years of post-qualification site experience in the power sector, including at least 6 years in operation and maintenance or asset management of a grid-connected solar and/or wind project of 50 MW or more.
• Deputy General Manager - RE (E-6 Grade): Full-time Engineering Degree in Electrical, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics, Control & Instrumentation, Civil or Mechanical Engineering with at least 60% marks. SC, ST and PwBD candidates need pass marks. Candidates require at least 12 years of post-qualification executive-cadre experience in the power sector, including at least 10 years with a renewable energy developer and 2 years of site experience in construction, erection or commissioning of a grid-connected solar and/or wind project of 50 MW or more.

Government and PSU candidates applying for the E-6 post must also have at least 2 years of experience in the IDA E-5 pay scale of Rs 80,000-2,20,000 or an equivalent level within the prescribed executive experience.
