SSC CPO SI Recruitment 2026 Preparation Focus

The 2026 examination pattern makes accuracy particularly important because Paper-I carries a penalty of 0.25 mark per wrong answer while Paper-II deducts 0.50 mark. Blind guessing can therefore reduce the score substantially. Candidates should combine timed sectional practice with revision instead of focusing only on the number of attempts.

Paper-II deserves special attention because final selection and Post/Force allocation are based on Paper-II performance, along with applicable NCC bonus marks and post preferences. English Comprehension alone contributes 200 of the 320 Paper-II marks, making it a major scoring area. For the General Awareness component, candidates can follow daily current affairs, revise important facts through Static GK and test retention with the daily current affairs quiz.

SSC CPO SI (Fire) Recruitment 2026 Specific Requirements

The CISF SI (Fire) post differs from the other vacancies in both age and educational requirements. It is open to male candidates, carries an age limit of 18-30 years and requires either a B.Sc. with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Matriculation with a prescribed 3-year engineering diploma. Its general physical standard is also slightly different, with an 81 cm unexpanded and 86 cm expanded chest requirement for the general male category.
