RRB JE/DMS/CMA Recruitment 2026 Preparation Focus

CBT-I is primarily a screening stage, so candidates should build speed and accuracy across Mathematics, Reasoning, General Science and General Awareness. The 1/3 negative marking means random guessing can reduce the normalized score used for CBT-II shortlisting.

For CBT-II, Technical Abilities carry 100 out of 150 marks, so the candidate's engineering or CMA syllabus should receive the largest share of preparation time. General Awareness remains useful in both stages, making consistent revision through daily current affairs, Static GK and a daily current affairs quiz helpful alongside technical preparation.
