About Chhattisgarh Staff Selection Board (CGSSB)

The Chhattisgarh Staff Selection Board (CGSSB), popularly known as CG Vyapam, is the state recruitment agency responsible for conducting competitive examinations and recruiting candidates for various government departments in Chhattisgarh. The board conducts transparent recruitment for teaching, technical, ministerial, police, healthcare, engineering, and other state government positions.

The Assistant Teacher Recruitment 2026 aims to strengthen primary education in government schools by filling 2,292 Assistant Teacher vacancies across E-Cadre and T-Cadre posts under the Directorate of Public Instruction.

Important Dates

Educational Qualification

Candidates must satisfy any one of the following qualifications:

• Senior Secondary (10+2) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.)
• Senior Secondary with 45% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education recognized by NCTE
• Senior Secondary with 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)
• Senior Secondary with 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Special Education
• Graduation with 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
• Must possess a valid CG TET/Teacher Eligibility Test certificate prescribed by NCTE and the State Government.

• Female candidates (Chhattisgarh): As per state norms
