APPSC Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Educational qualifications differ for each post. Candidates must possess the prescribed qualification by the eligibility cut-off date specified in the Detailed Notification.
Inspector of Factories Qualification
Candidates should possess a Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Industrial Engineering from a recognised university.
Applicants must also have at least two years of industrial work experience in medium or large-scale manufacturing process industries, preferably involving Industrial Safety, Occupational Safety, Health and Environment Management. The required experience certificate must be issued by the Chief Executive of the concerned industry.
English Reporter Qualification
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in any discipline along with English Shorthand at a minimum speed of 150 words per minute and Higher Grade Typewriting in English from the competent State Board of Technical Education.
Telugu Reporter Qualification
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree along with Higher Grade qualifications in Telugu Shorthand and Telugu Typewriting. The recruitment also specifies the applicable practical shorthand requirement. Candidates holding the corresponding qualification in the other language may receive preference as provided in the notification.
Assistant Statistical Officer Qualification
A candidate should possess a Bachelor's Degree with Statistics as a main subject, or a Bachelor's Degree with Mathematics, Economics, Commerce or Computer Science as a main subject provided Statistics was studied as one of the papers during one, two or all three years of the degree course.
Analyst Grade-II Qualification
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Bio-Chemistry, Biology or Environmental Sciences from a recognised university. First Class candidates will be given preference as prescribed in the recruitment conditions.
Assistant Director - Tribal Welfare Qualification
Candidates should hold a First or Second Class Master's Degree in Social Anthropology, Sociology or Social Work from a recognised university and possess at least two publications in national-level academic journals.
Assistant Director - Economics & Statistical Service Qualification
Candidates should possess a Postgraduate Degree in Mathematics, Pure Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Applied Economics, Applied Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Econometrics or Computer Science from a recognised university.

APPSC Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
Selection for the posts covered in these notifications will be conducted through a single-level examination. APPSC has stated that there will be no Screening Test irrespective of the number of applications received.
The examination will be conducted through the Computer Based Recruitment Test (CBRT) mode. If a recruitment examination has to be conducted in multiple sessions, APPSC may apply a normalisation procedure according to the methodology notified by the Commission.
